The Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) is a Government policy through the Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation No. 11 of 2016 concerning Classification of Electronic Interactive Games, based on game content categories and user age groups.

  1. Assist Operators in marketing Electronic Interactive Game products in accordance with the noble values of the Indonesian nation. 
  2. Helping the community including parents in choosing the age-appropriate Electronic Interactive Game.

In this rule it is defined as follows :

  1. Electronic Interactive Play (PIE) is an activity that allows feedback play and has the characteristics of at least an objective and electronic-based rules in the form of software applications.
  2. Organizer Electronic Interactive Games, hereinafter referred to as Operator, is any individual and/or legal entity that creates, produces, distributes, and/or disseminates electronic interactive games.  
  3. Electronic Interactive Game User, hereinafter referred to User is anyone who uses electronic interactive game. 
  4. Electronic Interactive Game Classification Committee, hereinafter referred to as Classification Committee Classification committee is a committee appointed by the Minister to conduct a game classification suitability test electronic interactive. 

a. Content

  • cigarettes, alcohol and drugs;
  • hardness ;
  • blood, mutilation and cannibalism;
  • language;
  • appearance character;
  • sexual;
  • sexual deviance;
  • gambling simulation;
  • horror; and
  • online interaction.

 

b.User Age

    user age group 3 (three) years or older;
  • user age group 7 (seven) years or older;
  • user age group is 13 (thirteen) years or older;
  • user age group is 18 (eighteen) years or older; and
  • all age group of users. *user group age starting from the age of 7 (seven) years.

Game classification procedure in IGRS :

1. Self Classification / Self Assessment

  • Registration Organizer
  • Complete Organizer profile data
  • Completing Electronic Interactive Game data that you want to classify
  • Doing a Self Classification / Self Assessment
  • Result Self Assessment

* Result Self Assessment can be used to market products prior to conformity testing

2. Classification by Committee

  • Random and periodic testing
  • Test based on complaints
  • Test based on issues circulating in the community
  • Informing the results of the classification to the Director General of Aptika and Organizers
  • Confirm Organizer
  • Recommended List

There is no charge for classification in IGRS

Electronic Interactive Games must meet the prerequisites set out in the Ministerial Regulation on Classification
